What are the advantages of Steel fire exit doors ?
Quite often we are asked to replace old wooden fire exit doors which have suffered badly over the years from anything from swelling up and sticking to warping or rotting. This can be quite an issue if the door sticks or jams when needed in an emergency.
Steel fire exit doors are tough and practially maintenance free, they will never swell up in damp weather, rot, warp or twist.
The powder coated finish is guaranteed for 10 years, so they will still look good without the need to ever paint or stain them.
Although periodic testing is advised, generally a steel fire exit door will last a lifetime and will work flawlessly should an emergency situation arise.
